Shanghai-based laptop maker Sixunited has introduced a new 16-inch notebook powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 APU, making it one of the first manufacturers after HP and Asus to bring the Strix Halo processor to laptops.
The model, called XN77-160M-CS, comes with a 16-core CPU, integrated Navi 3.5 graphics, and a 50 TOPS NPU, aimed at AI-driven workloads and high-performance computing. Until now, the powerful Strix Halo chip has mostly been used in mini PCs, with only a handful of laptops—such as HP’s ZBook Ultra G1a and Asus ROG Flow Z13—featuring the processor.
Lightweight but Powerful
Sixunited’s laptop will be offered in two configurations, with thermal limits of 85W and 120W, cooled by a dual-fan system. It also includes fast LPDDR5X memory (up to 8000 MT/s) and support for up to two PCIe 4.0 SSDs, ensuring strong performance for both professionals and gamers.
Despite its power, the device manages to stay portable. A 99.9Wh battery—the largest allowed on most airlines—delivers extended runtimes while keeping overall weight below 1.8kg. The chassis is built using aluminum and mylar materials for durability and reduced weight.

Display and Future Options
The laptop features a 16-inch 2560×1600 panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and full sRGB coverage. An OLED version is reportedly in development, offering even better visuals for creators and gamers.
Industry sources note that Sixunited often sells its designs as barebones systems to other brands, meaning the same laptop could appear under different names worldwide.
Pricing and Market Impact
Pricing has not yet been revealed, but based on existing Strix Halo laptops, buyers can expect premium positioning. For comparison, Asus’ model starts at $2,099, while HP’s device begins at a steep $4,099.
Sixunited’s entry highlights the growing momentum of AMD’s Strix Halo platform, signaling a shift in the laptop market as more manufacturers embrace AI-accelerated performance in portable designs.
