AMD’s RDNA 4 Laptop GPUs Leak Ahead of Launch

AMD’s next-generation RDNA 4 architecture is poised to make its debut in the laptop market, with fresh leaks hinting at an exciting lineup of high-performance mobile GPUs. According to a report shared by tech insider @All_The_Watts, AMD is gearing up to unveil six new Radeon RX 9000M series graphics cards, with an official showcase likely set for Computex 2025.

At the top of the rumored lineup is the flagship Radeon RX 9080M, expected to leverage the Navi 48 GPU. This model reportedly features 64 Compute Units (CUs) and 16 GB of onboard memory, positioning it to compete with NVIDIA’s high-end 70-class and 80-class mobile GPUs. Alongside the 9080M, the Radeon RX 9070M XT is also expected, boasting 48 CUs and the same 16 GB of VRAM.

The mid-range segment appears to be covered by the Radeon RX 9070M and RX 9070S, utilizing the Navi 44 silicon with 32 CUs and 8 GB of memory. For more budget-conscious users, the Radeon RX 9060M and RX 9060S are said to feature 28 CUs, also with 8 GB of VRAM — suggesting that AMD will maintain a solid memory baseline across the RDNA 4 laptop lineup.

While AMD has been focusing on RDNA 3.5 architecture for its integrated solutions like Strix Halo and the upcoming Medusa Point APUs, RDNA 4 seems to be reserved for discrete GPUs aimed at mobile gaming and professional laptops.

Though these early details sound promising, it’s worth noting that performance benchmarks remain under wraps, and final specifications could shift ahead of the official announcement. With Computex 2025 approaching, excitement builds as AMD prepares to challenge the current mobile GPU market once again.
