Motorola is gearing up to enter a new product category in India, teasing its first line of laptops via an official banner on Flipkart. Known for its strong presence in the smartphone market, the Lenovo-owned brand is now preparing to challenge established players in the Indian laptop segment.
The teaser, which carries the tagline “A bold new world of laptops. Unveiling soon,” features the iconic Motorola logo but stops short of revealing key details like product names, specifications, or pricing. While there’s no confirmed launch date yet, the listing suggests that Flipkart will be the brand’s exclusive online retail partner for this upcoming lineup.
This move marks a significant diversification for Motorola in India. With major competitors like Dell, HP, Apple, and even fellow smartphone manufacturers such as Samsung and Infinix already in the space, Motorola’s entry could heat up the competition. It’s worth noting that its parent company, Lenovo, already enjoys a robust position in the Indian laptop market with its ThinkPad, Yoga, Legion, and IdeaPad series.
Industry watchers expect Motorola to roll out more teasers and information about the new laptops in the coming weeks, possibly highlighting their features, specs, and pricing strategies.
The teaser comes shortly after the successful Indian debut of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, launched at ₹22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The smartphone features the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 50MP main camera, and a 5,500mAh battery with 68W fast charging—indicating Motorola’s continued push for innovation and performance across categories.
With rumors of the Motorola Edge 60 Pro also in the pipeline, 2025 could be a big year for Motorola as it broadens its tech portfolio in India.
