Acer Unveils Swift Edge 14 AI and Predator Triton 14 AI

TAIPEI, Taiwan — May 2025 — Acer made a major splash at Computex 2025, unveiling a wide array of next-generation laptops and high-performance monitors tailored for gamers, creators, and everyday users. The spotlight fell on two standout AI-powered machines: the ultra-light Swift Edge 14 AI and the portable gaming powerhouse Predator Triton 14 AI.

AI-Powered Swift Edge 14 Aims to Rival the MacBook Air

Positioned as a premium lightweight laptop, the new Swift Edge 14 AI is built with Intel’s Lunar Lake architecture and features a vibrant 2880 x 1800 OLED display. It weighs under 2.2 pounds—significantly lighter than the new MacBook Air—and manages to include an impressive selection of ports, including HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4.

The device supports up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage, launching in Europe this June at €1,599 (approx. $1,800). It runs Windows on a Copilot+ PC platform, aligning with the growing trend of AI-enhanced computing.

Predator Triton 14 AI Blends Portability with Power

For gaming enthusiasts and creative professionals, Acer introduced the Predator Triton 14 AI, a sleek gaming laptop with impressive performance. It’s equipped with Intel’s Arrow Lake Core Ultra 9 288V processor and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, complemented by support for Nvidia Studio drivers.

Designed to compete with thin-and-light gaming rigs like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, the Triton weighs just 3.5 pounds and features a 14.5-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also includes a large haptic trackpad and stylus support, making it suitable for creative workflows. The device will launch in July in Europe starting at €2,999 (about $3,350).

Broader Lineup: Aspire, Swift Go, and Predator Helios Neo

Acer also expanded its portfolio with new models including the Aspire 14 AI and 16 AI, Swift Go 14 AI and 16 AI, and the Predator Helios Neo 14, catering to various budgets and preferences. These devices offer configurations with Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips, signaling a strong push into Windows on Arm territory.

Cutting-Edge Monitors: Predator X27 X and X27U F5

To complement its new laptops, Acer also revealed QD-OLED monitors targeted at gamers and creators. The Predator X27 X supports 4K resolution at 240Hz, while the X27U F5 delivers a staggering 500Hz refresh rate at 1440p. Prices in Europe are set at €1,099 and €899 respectively.

Additional displays include affordable 32- and 34-inch Nitro monitors, a 6K ProCreator PE320QXT, and new portable monitors aimed at mobile professionals.

Availability

While Acer has not announced U.S. pricing or release dates yet, availability in Europe will begin in June and July 2025, with more regional details expected soon.
