In a subtle move, Honor has introduced its latest compact tablet, the Honor Pad X7, bringing a budget-friendly yet reliable option to the global Android tablet market. Despite the similar name, this is a different device from the original Tablet X7 released in 2021.
The new Honor Pad X7 features an 8.7-inch LCD display with a 1340 x 800 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and up to 625 nits peak brightness—offering surprisingly good visuals for a device in this price range. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 680 processor, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
Powering the device is a 7,020 mAh battery, supporting 10W wired charging and reverse wired charging—useful for topping up smaller accessories. The tablet also includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, ideal for basic photography and video calls.
Honor highlights the tablet’s durability, boasting that it has passed 42 reliability tests, including extreme drop tests, touchscreen stress tests, and even a steel ball impact challenge—making it a dependable choice for everyday use.
The Honor Pad X7 runs Android 15 and is currently available in gray, measuring just 7.99mm thick and weighing 365g. The device has gone on sale in Saudi Arabia through Honor’s official store, priced at SAR 349 (roughly $93 or €79) for the 4GB/128GB variant as part of a limited-time launch offer. After the offer expires, the price is expected to increase to SAR 449 (about $119 or €101).
There’s no official word yet on global availability, but this affordable Android tablet could be a compelling option for students and casual users if it rolls out to more regions.
